Eminem is now a member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s NFT. The blue-chip NFT initiative finished 2021 on a high note, adding the renowned rapper to its increasing list of high-profile club members, as planned.
Eminem bought $462K for BAYC #9055, which he currently uses as his PFP on his over 21 million-follower Twitter account.
BAYC #9055′ is a hip hop clothing brand. This is found in only 1% of the Bored Apes, making it an ideal match for Eminem.
It also sports an army cap, white fur, and closed eyelids, all of which have rarity ratings of 3%, 4%, and 7%, respectively. Eminem bought the NFT from leading NFT collector Gee Gazza. Last July, he tagged Eminem in a tweet inviting him to ape in, along with a photo of the NFT, which the rapper now owns.
Gee Gazza Burst Out Of Happiness
“Hey Eminem, fancy joining BoredApeYC?” the tweet asks. “I’ve got your ape all set to go.” As a result, he was ecstatic when the deal went through. “I’ve been expressing it for months,” he exclaimed. It’s surreal.”
Gee Gazza has a sizable NFT collection, including a number of blue-chip NFTs. He has 76 NFTs from Mutant Ape Yacht Club, RTFKT, Chromie Squiggles, and more on OpenSea alone.
He has a rare Paradise Trippies NFTs for sale for 100 ETH, So Eminem was in really capable hands. What makes this sale interesting is that someone who isn’t a member of the BAYC core group went out of their way to find a celebrity to buy an NFT.
As a result, his willingness to go the extra mile demonstrates how much he believes in the project. This is why BAYC is frequently commended for its active community.
In addition to Eminem, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Curry, and Post Malone have all been invited to perform at BAYC. Recently, OpenSea’s CFO joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club and jumped in! As a result, Eminem is certainly not alone.
