Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are a subset of the digital asset collection. It is unlike any cryptocurrency, although, one can exchange an NFT for a Bitcoin or Ethereum, they can’t exchange it for another NFT.

NFT is more of a monetized ownership of digital artwork, such as movies, music &c.  NFT sales in the last six months summed up to $2.5 billion. Keeping up with the hast growing pace of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology everyone seems to follow the trend, including celebrities. 

Bollywood’s superstar Amitabh Bachchan whose film works are recognized worldwide. Pieces of music from his iconic movies Sholay, Hum, and so many others are still played in households abroad. India’s first-ever celebrity has taken the step to launch limited NFTs based on his artworks.

The Amitabh Bachchan-themed NFTs would include a wide range of Bachan art in digital forms. It would include verses from Amitabh Bachchan’s father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s legendary work narrated by the iconic star, backstories of superstar Bachchan’’s works, movie posters with his autograph on it, and more of artwork related to him converted into this digital financed token.

The platform which is supporting this launch Rhiti group is asking for more ideas that could be included in the themed series of NFT. Arun Pandey who is the Chairman and Managing Director of Rhiti Group said to the media, “Our biggest motivation behind this venture is to empower artists, celebs, and athletes globally and, at the same time, help die-hard fans get their hands on the purest form of content.” will allow anyone who is a non-crypto user to technically expert people to participate in the auction of these limited Amitabh Bachchan-themed NFTs. Unlike the conventional method of owning NFTs, is providing an operator-friendly way, i.e. to log into the platform and become the owner of one of the limited editions of the digital artwork.

As per Moneycontrol, Keyur Patel, Chairman of and Rhiti Entertainment comments and says, “Now, for NFT to be big in this world, fiat (currency) will have to participate. Whether youngsters use fiat, which is different or not, but at the end of the day, fiat will be part of NFT; whether it takes two years or five years, that is to be seen. Even what we are doing in India is on fiat because we believe a majority of people own fiat and not crypto.”
