The Shiba Inu known for its charming memes, Cheems Balltze, has died.
Balltze, better known as Cheems, the beloved dog, passed away during surgery at the age of 12 and condolences have flooded in from all over the world.
Early in the 2010s, a photo of Cheems went viral, and he gained a fan base across a variety of social media sites. The "Cheems" character from memes is known for enjoying cheeseburgers, which it refers to as "Cheemsburger."
In many pictures of Cheems, the uneasy photo that his owner took in 2017 is used to convey their unease or frailty in certain circumstances. Millions of people were moved by his uncomfortable expression because Cheems was so relatable.
In Hong Kong, a woman by the name of Kathy nurtured the puppy. At the age of one, he was adopted. Instagram for the Dog was created in 2015. The owner began posting Cheems' daily mood photos on the social networking platform after that.
The dog is renowned for his affection for cheeseburgers as well. His favorite meal earned him the nickname "Cheems" in society. With the growth of the social media meme business in the ensuing years, the dog's notoriety grew even more. On the internet, Cheem's fans left numerous touching tributes and comments following his passing.
On Saturday, the owners of Cheems posted the tragic news to Instagram.
"Ball Ball fell asleep on 18/8," they wrote. "He fell asleep on Friday morning during his last thoracentesis surgery. Originally, we wanted to arrange chemotherapy or other possible treatment for him after this operation, but it is too late now."
Cheems’ owners reassured fans, "[D]on’t be sad; please remember the joy that Balltze brought to the world. A Shiba Inu with a round smiling face connecting you and me, he has helped many people during the pandemic and brought a lot of joy to many of you, but now his mission has [been] completed."
"I believe he is running freely in the sky and having a lot of delicious food with his new friends. He will always be inside my heart. I hope he can continue to bring joy to everyone in the online world; that’s my only humble request."
They also thanked the medical team for caring for their cat over the previous six months.
"I sincerely appreciate all of your generosity and assistance. Your love and support for Ball Ball are so unconditional, and I consider that to be the finest form of love there is. The finest thing that has ever occurred to me is having Ball Ball in my life.
They said,
"The donations and brass pin money I have collected for the medical bills will now be donated to local animal charities."
"Thank you everyone,"
they said at the end of the message. I'm grateful. Balltze is aware of your collective adoration for him.
