Bitcoin or Bicurious – Jack Dorsey vs Elon Musk

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter and Square, is a vocal supporter of Bitcoin on social media. On Friday, he posted a link to a Bitcoin event called “The B Word,” which is organized by the Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI). Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, was one of the first to reply to Dorsey’s tweet, much to everyone’s astonishment. The B Word is a global coalition of bitcoin industry experts dedicated to “demystify and destigmatize mainstream narratives about Bitcoin.”

Dorsey tweeted “As more companies and institutions get into the mix, we all want to help protect and spread what makes #bitcoin open development so perfect. This day is focused on education and actions to do just that.”, to which Musk replied “Bicurious?”

“Bizarre! Let’s you and I have a conversation at the event. You can share all your curiosities…” Elon Musk was caught giggling after receiving Jack Dorsey’s response. In response, Mr Musk replied, “Lmfao omg” (the abbreviations are Internet slang for laughing uncontrollably “laughing my ass off” and “Oh my God”).

The conversation went on and other Twitter users were amused by the two’s interaction, and they responded with humorous responses. Some people commented on Musk’s tweet saying you could have used your power for good and some asked Jack to ban Elon.

Peter Schiff, the CEO of Euro Pacific Capital and a Bitcoin critic, was also spotted participating in the discussion.

Whilst Dorsey is a supporter of Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency’s value plummeted by around 50% since Musk said in May that Tesla will no longer accept Bitcoin for car sales owing to long-standing environmental concerns. While he has subsequently changed his mind and stated that Tesla will start allowing Bitcoin transactions after miners utilize more renewable energy, his tweets have frequently resulted in a drop in cryptocurrency values. Elon Musk has had a tense relationship with Bitcoin. However, the billionaire businessman has stated repeatedly that he believes cryptocurrencies have the potential to become the world’s future currency.
