Everyone knows that the founder of VaynerX and VaynerMedia and the serial entrepreneur, Gary Vaynerchuk is an NFT advocate. Recently, his project dedicated to the NFTs – VeeFriends has surpassed $11 million in secondary sales. It rose almost over $100K for charity in the whole process. Moreover, this project reached up to $50MM in total sales. Right now, in this week itself, VaynerX revealed about the launch of its new project, VaynerNFT. After the announcement, the VaynerNFT signed on a significant client in AB InBev, Budweiser’s parent company.

Budweiser and VaynerMedia have been partners for almost a decade now. Both of them have collaborated on several award-winning campaigns for Budweiser, the top beverage brand. And, now they have a brand new venture to work for. To serve as the ‘NFT agency of record’ for a brand as large as Budweiser is something very rare and a good opportunity for VaynerNFT. It is one of a kind agency representation deal for Budweiser.
VaynerNFT will have the role of consultants for strategic integration for different brands. The teams from both sides will look deeply into all the relevant NFT projects that will have a long-term value, create lots of unique value adds for all the NFT holders, and expand new revenue streams that use IP and owned assets. Currently, VaynerNFT is showing a lot of flexibility in its work. For instance, it can offer its clients services from strictly consulting services to full-scale execution abilities for different purposes.
Also, Richard Oppy, the Head of Global Brands for AB InBev stated, “At AB InBev, we’re always looking for new ways to innovate and provide the best experience for our consumers.”
All the steps that were taken by Gary Vee and his team show signs of clear optimism around the NFT marketplace. Gary Vaynerchuk himself will lead the latest VaynerX NFT-dedicated division along with Avery Akkineni, the long-time VaynerX veteran. Vaynerchuk says, “NFTs promises to be a major part of the digital ecosystem going forward, so it’s important for brands to know how they can fully leverage this space – from the opportunity to execution.” Now for Gary’s NFT projects, VaynerNFT has also joined the list longer than just VeeFriends. At the start of 2021, Gary Vaynerchuk partnered up with Fanatic’s Michael Rubin and Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz in order to Candy Digital, an NFT startup. The firm later started its business by partnering with Major League Baseball.
When we talk about AB InBev, the agency addition came just after a month when the company minted NFTs for sub-brand Stella Artois and then established a secured partnership with ZED RUN, the NFT horse-racing platform. ZED RUN created 50 unique horses and made millions of dollars worth of sales. The marketing team lead at AB InBev, Spencer Gordon, said that they donated several sales monies so that they could assist bars and restaurants in Europe that were badly impacted by COVID-19.
We can expect the Budweiser NFTs with VaynerNFT sometime in the second half of 2021.
