The Oscar winner will star in Crypto.com‘s new worldwide ad campaign, “Fortune Favors the Brave,” which premieres on Thursday night in the United States.

The 60-second advertisement, directed by Wally Pfister, shows Damon taking viewers on a historical tour of brave men and women who have made a difference in the world, in the aim of inspiring them to “be their bravest selves.”

This campaign aims to formally introduce the platform — which aims to accelerate the world’s transition to cryptocurrency — to consumers all over the world.

In a Tweet mentioning Matt Damon and water.org, Crypto.com wrote about the partnership.

It will debut on Fox Sports’ “Thursday Night Football” and will eventually be broadcast in over 20 countries.

David Fincher was mistakenly credited as a producer on the commercial in an original press release.

Fincher’s production business, RESET, produced the film, but he was not a producer on it personally, according to Variety.

CELEBRITY’S JUMPING INTO CRYPTO-WORLD

Damon joins the likes of Kim Kardashian, Stephen Curry, and Tom Brady as the latest celebrity to promote digital currency.

Crypto.com, which was founded in 2016, has over 10 million customers who use their cryptocurrency app and Visa card.

Water.org, a global NGO co-founded by Damon that provides safe water and sanitation to people in need, recently joined with Crypto.com.

Water.org in a Tweet thanked Crypto.com for supporting the campaign.

To support the nonprofit’s objective, the platform made a direct donation of $1 million and is initiating programmes to encourage its own users to donate.

“The timing of this campaign coincides with the early stages of mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency, something we’ve been hard at work to advance since our founding five years ago.”—Kris Marszalek, Crypto.com co-founder and CEO

He further added, “We’re very excited to introduce our company to a global audience, inviting them to our secure platform with a message focused on financial independence and self-determination.”

Water.org, a global charitable organisation co-founded by Damon that provides safe water and sanitation to people in need, recently joined with Crypto.com.

The corporation gave the foundation a $1 million direct donation and is starting programmes to urge more than 10 million people around the world to contribute to the cause.
