- Customers who spend $150 or more on cryptocurrency will receive a $25 gift card from the Dallas Mavericks.
- It’s the NBA team’s latest crypto-friendly move, according to owner Mark Cuban, who claims to be the world’s largest dogecoin dealer.
- Customers may use cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, ether, dogecoin, USDC, and GUSD to purchase items.
Customers who spend at least $150 on goods using various cryptocurrencies will get a $25 e-gift card from the Dallas Mavericks.
The “Mavs Cryptomania” giveaway is the NBA team’s newest effort to promote cryptocurrency.
The team added dogecoin to its list of acceptable currencies for ticket and retail payments earlier this year.
Shortly after the announcement, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said that his NBA club had completed over 20,000 dogecoin transactions, making it the largest merchant of the meme-based cryptocurrency.
On Friday, Cuban used the hashtag “#dogemania” to tweet a photo of the gift card campaign.
He also stated that people can use cryptocurrency to purchase suites and lower-level seats.
The NBA team now accepts bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash, doge, USDC, GUSD, BUSD, and PAX as well as other cryptocurrencies through BitPay.
“If you wanna support one of the first big name vendors to evangelize DOGE for purchases, as @mcuban says, it’s ready for you,” the developer of dogecoin, who goes by the Twitter handle “Shibtoshi Nakamoto,” informed their followers.
The Mavericks’ offer is only good through September 30th.
