Shiba Inu is the most popular cryptocurrency on Twitter, beating out Bitcoin, Ether, and Dogecoin.

According to a recent analysis by research firm ICO Analytics, Dogecoin’s rival Shiba Inu has surpassed Dogecoin as the most popular cryptocurrency on Twitter. Ether, Bitcoin, and Dogecoin are the second, third, and fourth most popular cryptocurrencies on Twitter, according to statistics from the research firm for the month of October. In fact, the research claims that while SHIB had a 22 percent popularity share on Twitter, Bitcoin had an 8.1 percent popularity share. Shiba Inu meme-coin, which is being touted as a Dogecoin-killer, appears to have gained another feather in its cap as a result of the development.

Safe moon, Solana, Cardano, and Binance tokens were also among the top 10 most discussed crypto coins on Twitter, according to ICO Analytics’ graph. None of the cryptocurrencies, however, came close to matching SHIB’s popularity.

On Wednesday, while the world’s leading and second most valuable cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ether, were trading at or around all-time high prices, Shiba Inu was trading for $0.00005395 (approximately Rs. 0.0040) per token, according to CoinMarketCap data. On October 25, the dog-coin increased in value by 50%, making it the 11th-largest cryptocurrency coin by market capitalization.

SHIB supporters have been raising their voices on social media channels in recent days as the token has been pitted against Dogecoin. On Twitter, supporters are rallying behind Shina Inu with hashtags like #SHIBARMY, #ShibaSwap, #shibainu, and #SHIB.

SHIB should be accepted as a payment option for movie tickets, according to the CEO of AMC Theatres in the United States, who sponsored a poll on Twitter earlier this month. 81.4 percent of the accounts voted “yes” in support of the SHIB token, out of 1,53,100 votes cast.

Shiba Inu token was designed by someone with the pseudonym Ryoshi and launched in August 2020. The SHIB token’s mascot is a cartoonized portrayal of a dog face belonging to the Japanese breed of Shiba Inu, modeled like Dogecoin.

The SHIB coin is presently owned by 942,941 wallets, with 14,645 active addresses, according to CoinMarketCap. The SHIB token has a one quadrillion supply cap and is currently in development.
