Hashtag ShibaArmy is trending on Twitter with 31.8K Tweets. The meme coin’s price hiked due to a specific tweet by Elon Musk.
Shiba Inu coin has recently seen a massive increase due to Tesla founder Elon Musk naming his dog Floki.
That does sound a little strange, doesn’t it? However, there is a reason for this: Elon Musk owns a Shiba Inu dog.
Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, recently tweeted about his dog, saying, “My Shiba Inu will be named Floki.”
Musk’s comments about other cryptocurrencies often create a lot of buzz on social media. He mentioned in May that he was collaborating with Dogecoin to make it more useful for Tesla buyers.
This follows Musk’s announcement that Bitcoin would no longer be accepted as a form of payment for speciality automobiles.
The Shiba Inu coin market rose as a result, with single Shiba coins increasing by 16% in the hours following, resulting in a six-week high for the coin.
Some speculated that the name was a play on the Marvel comic character Loki, spelt Loki with an F. Others joked that the tweet would spark a crypto war between Dogecoin fans and Shiba Inu coin investors.
Musk continued to say his dislike with Bitcoins in the meantime. In the opinion of investors who think Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that rules decentralised currencies, the SpaceX founder bashed the Bitcoin maximalists.
Musk asked in his tweet how many Bitcoin maxis a lightbulb requires to tweet. He wrote a sarcastic comment imitating Bitcoin maxis, responding to his tweet.
Shiba Army’s Day
Meanwhile, Shiba Hodlers are very happy and excited about the new price hike and relaxed over the past few days as the crypto shows a great move after so much stagnation.
That’s all, See in the next Twitter talks. Stay connected.
