Snoop Dogg Reveals He’s an NFT Whale With $17 Million in Collectibles

Under the alias Cozomo de’ Medici, rapper Snoop Dogg stated on Twitter that he has been accumulating Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). NFTs are digital assets that reflect real-world artifacts such as art, music, in-game goods, and movies.

The rapper’s wallet is stuffed with NFT memorabilia worth over $17 million, according to DappRadar’s portfolio estimation tool (roughly Rs. 125 crores). Snoop Dogg, who goes by the Twitter name Cozomo De Medici, has been giving comprehensive instructions on how to make money in the crypto sector.

The 49-year-old rapper came to Twitter on Thursday, September 23 to declare that he is the owner of the Twitter handle @CozomoMedici. Snoop Dogg’s normal Twitter handle had 19.2 million followers, while his unconfirmed crypto-focused handle @CozomoMedici suddenly has over 50 million after the rapper’s announcement.

According to the news portal Decrypt.co, Snoop Dogg’s NFT collection includes nine products from the Ethereum blockchain-based CryptoPunks project.

CryptoPunk’s most valuable profile photo NFTs, valued at about $4.6 million, is in his wallet (roughly Rs. 3.4 crores). Snoop Dogg also owns 10 Meebits NFTs, which are 3D avatars made by Larva Labs, the creators of CryptoPunks.
According to Decrypt.co, the “Countdown” rapper apparently has additional NFTs from the generative artwork series Art Blocks, as well as NFTs from Tom Sachs’ Rocket Factory.

Snoop Dogg, on the other hand, isn’t the only worldwide star who has dabbled with the fast-growing crypto sector.

NFTs have been collected by NBA player Stephen Curry, social media personality Jake Paul, and TV host Steve Harvey.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan became the first Bollywood bigwig to enter the NFT market in India. According to recent media sources, the 78-year-old renowned Bollywood actor is anticipated to release his own NFTs by November this year, which would include some of the most distinctive and exclusive artworks around his name.

Sunny Leone, the first Bollywood star to invest in NFTs, was also said to have done so this month.

Colexion, an NFT trading platform, has announced the addition of Indian musicians Suniel Shetty, Aamir Ali, Mika Singh, and Sidhu Moose Wala to its marketplace.
