Snoop Dogg has released a new non-fungible token (NFT) series that includes both audio and video features and is up for sale on the SuperRare platform. NFTs are digital valuables that are registered and transferable on the blockchain network. Decentral Eyes Dog, the rapper’s newest NFT, was made by award-winning mixed media artist Coldie.
Snoop has lent his voice to the NFT-themed songs that play on-screen while the virtual collectible twitches and moves.
This NFT is a portrait of Snoop Dogg, created by combining 10 separate photos of his face from different periods of his life into a new animation.
“His hip-hop aristocracy is reflected in the purple area. “The halftone and grunge effect on his left eye alludes to his status as an OG (original gangster) in the game, while the Doggystyle allusions allude to his legendary initial release,” according to the NFT description on SuperRare.
On Twitter, snippets of the digital artwork have been shared; have a look:
In Ethereum, bidding for Decentral Eyes Dog NFTs is now open. The current highest bid on this NFT is 169 Ether tokens, which amounts to almost $771,000 in total (roughly Rs. 5.7 crores).
The auction will end on December 4th.
The 49-year-old musician announced on Twitter earlier this year that he is an NFT whale with millions of dollars in collectibles in his pocket, under the alias Cozmo di Medici.
Snoop bought a Fidenza digital artwork number 938 named God Mode for $8.5 million in October, making it the first most expensive NFT in the industry’s history (roughly Rs. 63 crores).
